Meet The Team!

Trusted physical therapists with a passion for helping others achieve their goals and return to the activities they love.

  • Owner & Physical Therapist

Krista Sabo is the owner of Sabo Physical Therapy. Having spent her early career working in a trauma hospital, she learned to manage patients with severe and life altering injuries, and was exposed to a wide variety of patient problems, presentations, and challenges. She has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting for the past 12 years. Being involved in the sports community in Bakersfield, Krista decided it was important to become an expert in the issues that athletes face, so completed an Orthopedic physical therapy residency in 2014, becoming Board Certified in Orthopedics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. She then went on to become Board Certified in Sports in 2019. She has worked extensively with collegiate and high school aged athletes, as well as with professional athletes. Her approach to each patient is to listen to their story, to clarify their goals for rehab as well as their future goals, and to diligently work with each person to achieve the level of function they desire.

  • Physical Therapist

Geovanni is a performance physical therapist with a strong background in strength and conditioning as well as concussion management. He obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2022 and, in 2024, became a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist. He has helped rehabilitate high school, collegiate, and professional athletes' sports injuries and seeks to continue pursuing his interests in running injuries, ACL rehab, and concussion management by partnering with local athletic programs to offer acute injury management and physical therapy services. He aims to help all athletes become strong and confident as they heal and prepare to return to the sport they love. Outside of the clinic, you can find Geovanni watching The Office with his fiancee, running with his dog, or baking sourdough bread.
